WHAT TO EXPECT ON A SUNDAY MORNING

Every Sunday morning at 9:00 am, we gather together as God's people to worship the Lord. Look below for answers to frequently asked questions:

What does our worship look like?

  • We sing to the Lord because He is worthy of our praise (Job 38:7, Isaiah 6, Psalm 147:1, Luke 19:40) and because God commands us to sing to Him (Psalm 47). We do this through through modern songs/hymns as well as ancient hymns that have stood the test of time.

  • We have a time of corporate prayer (Matthew 18:19-20).

  • We spend 35-40 minutes in the word of God, hearing what the Lord is saying to us through the Scripture passage that morning. The preaching is expository preaching through books of the bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  • Our services typically last for a little over an hour.

  • Before the sermon, children are released for Children's Church (4 years old through 5th grade) and nursery care is available throughout the whole service.

What should I wear?

  • Our atmosphere is casual though you may dress up as much as you'd like.

What if I'm hearing impaired?

  • We have listening devices for you if you have trouble hearing...just stop by the sound room in the back and ask for one.

What if I'm not a Christian

  • If you're not a Christian we'd love to have you with us. Feel free to listen to our message and we'd love to have conversation and hear any questions you might have.

Do you have Sunday School?

  • Yes, we have Sunday School every Sunday at 10:30 am and there are classes for every age group. Nursery care is also available during Sunday School.

  • In between the Worship service and Sunday School we have a time of fellowship over food and drink in fellowship hall.

  • Children and teens use "The Gospel Project" curriculum, a Christ-centered, chronological bible study.

  • On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, men and women meet separately. On the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays, men and women meet together.

How do I check if the service has been cancelled due to snow?

You can either:

  • Look on the church's website or Facebook page.

  • Check the closings and delays section of wgal.com.

  • If you are a member, check your e-mail for a church-wide e-mail.

  • Call the church and listen to the answering machine message.
